CNPC to invest 6 bln yuan on a financial leasing company in Chongqing

According to an agreement which has been signed by the CNPC and the Chongqing Municipal Government, the CNPC is expected to set up a financial leasing company in the city of Chongqing before the end of the year with a registered capital of 6 billion yuan.
CNPC will have majority control of company shares and the leasing company will operate three kinds of business nationwide.
Firstly it will offer an equipment leasing service to small and medium-sized enterprises that urgently require finance for equipment purchasing.
Secondly, it will offer an equipment leasing service to enterprises manufacturing large-scale equipment.
Thirdly, it will offer a specialized equipment leasing service to CNPC business departments, including those related to gas stations, oil fields and oil drilling.
Three financial leasing companies will be established in Chongqing by the end of the year, including the one that will be set up by the CNPC. As a result, the total registered capital of Chongqing's financial leasing companies will reach 10 billion yuan.
